Abstract
According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a job queue that registers jobs and a controller that executes the jobs according to an order in which the jobs are registered in the job queue. Further, when a plurality of jobs that differ in a control temperature of a heat source are registered in the job queue, the controller sorts the jobs in the job queue so that a required time until execution of all the jobs is completed becomes shortest.
