Abstract
Liquid lens () including two liquids () being adjacent to each other in a container () with a flexible member () interposed between them wherein at least a part of the flexible member () functions as refractive surface and characterized in that the elastic strain energy per unit area Y [N/m] of the flexible member satisfies the inequality γ≧5.16×10×Δρ×α×, where •Δρ [kg/m 3] is the density difference between the two liquids arranged adjacent to the flexible member; •α [λ] is the surface accuracy of the refractive surface; and •φ [m] is the inner diameter of the liquid lens.
