Abstract
A rotary fluid machinehas a rotor, a stator, and a plurality of gates. The rotorand statorare rotatable relative to each other and arranged one inside the other to define a working chamberthere between. Gatesare supported in radial gate slotsformed in the rotorand cyclically extend from and retract into the gate slotsas the rotorrotates about stator. A plurality of demountable lobes is supported on an outer circumferential surfaceof stator. The surfaceforms a surface of the working chamber. Circumferential surfaceis composed of an intermediate surfacewhich extends in an axial direction and opposite curved surfaces. The gatehas opposite rounded cornersseparated by an axial planar surface.
