Abstract

A semiconductor devicefor sensing a physical quantity adjusts the output characteristic of a pressure sensor, for example, based on trimming data stored in an EPROM. A comparatorcompares an input voltage given to a terminaland a predetermined reference voltage, and delivers a write control signal for EPROM. When the comparatordelivers a Low signal for the EPROM, a first gate circuitprovided between the terminaland a temperature sensorconnects the terminaland the temperature sensor. A second gate circuitprovided between the terminaland a pull-down resistordisconnects the terminaland the pull-down resistor. The operational voltage of the temperature sensoris lower than the reference voltage, and the terminalis used as an output terminal for the temperature sensor
