Abstract

Electronic devices with a Vdisplay panel are configured to provide a common voltage Vto a Vdisplay panel backplane, referred to as a Vreference plane. The common voltage is supplied by a Vapplication circuit coupled to the Vreference plane. The Vapplication circuit includes a Vamplifier having a closed-loop gain. The Vapplication circuit is configurable to quickly adjust the closed-loop gain so as to adjust the settling characteristics of the common voltage Voutput by the Vapplication circuit. The Vapplication circuit having adjustable closed-loop gain also reduces the amount of power to be dissipated, and therefore the amount of heat generation, in the Vamplifier.
