Abstract
An instrument () for gravimetrically determining moisture content has a housing (), with a weighing device () arranged inside. The weighing device () has a load receiver () onto which a sample () is placed. The housing has a lower, stationary housing part () and an upper, movable housing part (), the movable housing part alternately occupying a measuring position and a loading position. In the loading position, the respective housing parts are spaced apart from each other, allowing a sample to be put on the load receiver. In the measuring position, the respective housing parts form an essentially enclosed testing compartment () that surrounds the load receiver. A temperature sensor () is arranged so that the temperature sensor is above the load receiver in the measuring position and is essentially to the side of the load receiver in the loading position.
