Abstract

A machine component or part for alternating mechanical stresses up to a temperature of at most 160° C. The component or part comprises a thermally quenched and tempered steel alloy which contains carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium in certain concentrations, the remainder being iron (Fe) and accompanying elements and contaminants due to smelting.
