Abstract
A tape cartridgeincludes a platen roller, when the tape cartridgeis mounted on a tape printer, a print headof the tape printercontacting the platen rollerwith a print tape T and an ink ribbon R arranged therebetween such that the print headcan be separated from the platen roller; a cartridge casethat houses the print tape T, the ink ribbon R, and the platen roller; and an insertion openingformed in the cartridge case, the print headbeing inserted into the insertion opening. A contact portionof the platen rollerthat is brought into contact with the print headprotrudes relative to a head receiverof the insertion openingto which the print headis exposed.
