Abstract

A device is provided in which a pressing electrode () is advanced toward a steel plate component () to press a welding projection () of a shaft-shaped component () against the steel plate component (), so that the shaft-shaped component () is electric-resistance-welded to the steel plate component (). Pressing force accumulating means () for accumulating the pressing force of the pressing electrode () is disposed between a pressing member () and a pressed member (). Detection means () activated when the pressing member () is located at a predetermined position is provided to apply welding current flowing to the electrode, and pressing force adjusting means () for adjusting the activation position of the detection means () is provided.
