Abstract

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode active material includes a lithium-containing oxide LiNaCoMnO, where 0.66<x1<1.1, 0<y1≦0.02, 0.75≦α<1, 0<β≦0.25, and 1.9≦γ≦2.1.
