Abstract

To minimize color difference during white display, and secure high transmittance in liquid crystal panel driven by FFS mode or the like. Liquid crystal panelhas first substrate AR and second substrate CF oppositely arranged, and liquid crystal layer LC interposed between the first and the second substrates, wherein the first substrate has plural signal linesand scanning linesformed in matrix, upper electrodehaving plural slit-shaped openingsdivided by the scanning and signal lines, and formed for every sub-pixel, and lower electrodeformed with the upper electrode through insulating layer, the second substrate has light-shielding layersuperimposed with the signal and scanning lines in planar view, and color filter layerformed for every sub-pixel, and the liquid crystal layer includes a mixture of at least one compound having negative dielectric anisotropy and at least one compound having positive dielectric anisotropy.
