Abstract
The invention relates to a diaphragm () for an ultrasonic transducer having a diaphragm body () which is made of metallic material and is provided on an outer surface region () with a coating (). In order to make it possible for the diaphragm surface to be provided with a particularly damage-resistant coating, the coating () has a transparent form such that the surface region () of the diaphragm body () is visible through the coating ().
