Abstract
When generating an approximate right prism model, an approximate right prism model generating unitexpresses a hierarchical relationship among original right prism models and approximate right prism models which can be generated by using a tree structure, and generates only a right prism model existing in certain and higher hierarchical layers from among approximate right prism models respectively brought into correspondence with the nodes in the tree structure. Therefore, a three-dimensional virtual environment can be rendered at a high speed and with a high degree of quality even when no large-volume storage unit is installed.
