Abstract
An apparatus, method and system for providing an emergency alert message in a communication system. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a transceiver () configured to receive an alert of an emergency message on a plurality of broadcast subchannels and to receive at least one message segment associated with the emergency message on the plurality of broadcast subchannels. The apparatus also includes a processor () configured to reconstruct the emergency message from the at least one message segment associated therewith.
