Abstract

An object of the present invention is to prevent screen burn-in in a liquid crystal display device that performs a plurality of types of frame-reversal driving. When any gate bus line is focused, among a plurality of pixel electrodes in a display unit, pixel electrodes provided in pixel formation portions to which a scanning signal is provided from the focused gate bus line are arranged in a staggered manner with the focused gate bus line centered. A latch strobe signal (LS) including pulses where in each pixel formation portion a length of a period (TA) during which a positive polarity voltage is applied to a liquid crystal is longer than a length of a period (TA) during which a negative polarity voltage is applied to the liquid crystal is provided to a source driver from a display control circuit.
