Abstract

A method for transmitting information of a user equipment (UE) by a mobility management entity (MME) is discussed. The method according to one embodiment includes generating, by the MME, a request message including an indication of whether the UE is a closed subscriber group (CSG) member; and transmitting, by the MME, the request message to a cell. The request message is one of a UE context change request message and a handover request message. The UE context change request message is an S1 AP UE Context Modification Request message. The UE context change request message is transmitted when the UE is connected to the cell, the cell is operating in a hybrid access mode, and when the MME detects that a CSG membership of the UE to the cell has expired.
