Abstract
Camshaft unit () having a first camshaft (), which is phase-adjustable with respect to a crankshaft, a second camshaft (), which is disposed concentric to the first camshaft () and is always in phase with the crankshaft, a camshaft adjuster () with which the first camshaft () is phase-adjustable with respect to the crankshaft, a connecting member (), which is displaceable in the axial direction of the camshafts () and has first toothed section () that meshes with counter-toothed section () on the first camshaft (), and an adjusting drive () by which a connecting member () can be displaced axially, wherein through an axial advance, a relative rotation of the first camshaft () with respect to the connecting member () takes place.
