Abstract
An apparatus and method is provided that determines a connection quality of an electrode to a patient. A current source is connected to a first electrode and a switch is connected to a second electrode for selectively connecting the second electrode to ground. A processor is connected to the first electrode and a third electrode and the processor detects a voltage difference between the first electrode and the third electrode upon application of a current to the first electrode by the current source to determine connection quality data for the first electrode.
