Abstract
A solid state lamp having a threaded base with an LED light source receives a threaded ring with a snap-on lens. The snap-on lens has cantilevered fingers with pegs on the distal ends that snap into receiving holes in the ring. The ring has internal threads that screw on to the base. A lamp shade is held on to the base when the ring is screwed on to the base. The lamp is adapted to work with light fixtures or a ceiling fan.
