Abstract
An optical element including a molded article is provided, the molded article being prepared by molding a polymer prepared by polymerizing a (meth)acrylate compound represented at least by the following general formula (1): wherein a and b are each an integer of 1 or 2; X and Y are each —S— or —O—; Rand Rare each an alkyl group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; and Zand Zare each an alkyl group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, having a substituent and represented by the following general formula (2): wherein m is selected from 0 and 1; W is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and V is selected from substituents represented by the following:*—O—CH—O—**;*—S—CH—S—**; and*—S—CH—O—**,wherein * represents a bond with an alkyl group; ** represents a bond with a (meth)acryloyl group; n is selected from 2, 3 and 4; and at least one hydrogen atom of —CH— is replaced by a methyl group.
