Abstract

A power distribution device includes power distribution ports that are connected to electric devices, respectively, and distribute a power supply signal to the electric devices, an inrush current suppressing circuit that collectively suppresses an inrush current on an upstream side ahead of the electric devices, a controller that detects an occurrence of the inrush current and outputs a switching instruction, and a switch that switches, based on the switching instruction, a path for the power supply signal to a first power supply path that causes the power supply signal to be input to the inrush current suppressing circuit when the inrush current has occurred, and that switches, on based on the switching instruction, the path for the power supply signal to a second power supply path that causes the power supply signal to bypass the inrush current suppressing circuit when the inrush current has not occurred.
