Abstract

A zoom lens system comprising: a positive first lens unit; a negative second lens unit; a positive third lens unit; and a subsequent lens unit, wherein the first to third lens units move along an optical axis in zooming, a part of the third lens unit is a third-b lens unit moving in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and the conditions: 1.5<(D+D+D)/Ir<2.4, BF/Ir<1.45 and Z=f/f>9.0 (D, D: optical axial thicknesses of the second and third-b lens units, D: an optical axial total thickness of the subsequent lens units, BF: a shortest optical axial distance between an apex of a most image side lens surface and an image surface, Ir=f×tan(ω), f, f: focal lengths of the entire system at a telephoto limit and a wide-angle limit, ω: a half view angle at a telephoto limit) are satisfied.
