Abstract
An oil filter module () has a connection for a filter element () and an oil-coolant heat exchanger (). Arranged in a housing () is a bypass line () for bypassing the oil-coolant heat exchanger (). The bypass line () has a valve chamber () with a thermostat unit (). The thermostat unit () controls an oil flow through the bypass line () according to a temperature of the oil. The housing is made up at least of a valve housing part () and a heat exchanger housing part (). The valve chamber () is arranged in the valve housing part (). A base plate () of the heat exchanger housing part () closes the valve chamber () lengthwise.
