Abstract
An apparatus () for cooling a bar () comprising: —an outer casing (), —a passageway () defining a crossing direction (X) for the bar (), —at least one drum () comprising a plurality of cooling lines () each having at least one respective through cavity () parallel to the crossing direction (X) and a respective cover () which can move between an open position and a closed position, the drum () being accommodated in the casing () and rotational about a rotation axis (Y) to move the cooling lines () between an operating position (), in which the cavity () is aligned with the passageway (), and at least one resting position (), in which the cavity () is separated from the passageway (), the casing () being shaped so as to touch and hold the respective cover () in the closed position when the cooling line () is in the resting position ().
