Abstract
An artificial nail () has a member made of a material having electrical conductivity. The artificial nail () is given electrical conductivity by mixing an electrically conductive material into plastic serving as a base material. As the electrically conductive material, a carbon-based material, such as carbon black, carbon fiber, or black lead, or a metal-based material, such as a fine metal powder, a metal oxide, metal fiber, or a whisker, is used. Alternatively, the base material for the artificial nail () per se is an electrically conductive resin.
