Abstract

The invention relates to a brake system having a brake booster, in which pressure medium can be guided by means of at least one switchable valve () from at least one wheel brake () into an accumulator chamber (), wherein a control device controls at least the at least one switchable valve (), wherein, in the case of a disruption of the brake booster (), in particular if the drive () thereof or the gear mechanism which is connected between the drive () and the piston of the brake master cylinder () is blocked, the at least one accumulator chamber () serves to receive pressure medium from at least one wheel brake or at least one brake circuit and therefore to dissipate pressure in at least one wheel brake.
