Abstract
An exhaust gas control apparatus () of an internal combustion engine () of a vehicle, which is provided with: the internal combustion engine which can use fuel containing methane in exhaust gas; an exhaust gas purifying apparatus () disposed in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine; an EGR passage () which can recirculate the exhaust gas to an intake passage of the internal combustion engine, in a HPL path which does not include the exhaust gas purifying apparatus; and an adjusting device () which can adjust an exhaust gas recirculation amount in the EGR passage, is provided with: a first specifying device for specifying a methane concentration in the exhaust gas; and a first controlling device for controlling the adjusting device to increase an exhaust gas recirculation amount in the HPL path if the specified methane concentration is greater than or equal to a reference value.
