A benzo[k]fluoranthene derivative represented by the following formula (1): wherein Rto Rare as defined in the specification. The benzo[k]fluoranthene derivative represented by the formula (1) reduces a driving voltage of an organic electroluminescence device and makes it possible to realize light emission with high efficiency and long lifetime.
