Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide a high-capacity, low cycle deterioration lithium secondary battery in which the positive electrode is provided with a titanium composite oxide such as LiNiTiO. A lithium secondary batteryprovided by the present invention includes a positive electrodeand a negative electrode. The positive electrodehas a solid solution between LiM1TiO(where M1 is at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni) and LiM2O(where M2 is at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Co, and Ni).
