Abstract

An adjustment mechanism, particularly for the longitudinal adjustment of a seat of a motor vehicle, with a transmission housing () fastened at a first part (), which is displaceable in reference to a second part (), with a transmission being arranged inside the transmission housing (). A spindle () projects from the transmission housing (). The spindle () is coupled via a nut element () to a second part (). The transmission housing () is made from plastic, with at least one repeatedly angled metal insert () being embedded in the plastic. At least one wall () of the metal insert () is aligned orthogonal in reference to the axis (A) of the spindle and at least partially encompasses the spindle () on the side of the transmission housing () allocated to the nut element ().
