Abstract
While a wiping operation for keeping a satisfactory ejection opening surface of an inkjet recording head is performed, a usage amount of a sheet-like member is to be reduced. An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a sheet-like member, a reeling roller that reels the sheet-like member, and a measurement unit that measures an ejection number of ink ejected from the recording head. A control is performs to cause the reeling rollerto reel the sheet-like memberin accordance with the ejection number of the ink which is measured by the measurement unit.
