Abstract

The invention relates to a milling tool () having a length land diameter dand having blades () for the milling of mostly metal workpieces. In order to prevent an uncontrolled failure of the milling tool, it is proposed that the blades () are partially or entirely made of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PcBN) or polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and the diameter dof the milling tool lies between 7 mm and 40 mm.
