Abstract
An antioxidant-promoting composition that increases antioxidant defense potential in a subject is disclosed. The composition containsextract comprising aactive ingredient; a(milk thistle) extract comprising aactive ingredient; a(ashwagandha) extract comprising aactive ingredient; a(green tea) extract comprising aactive ingredient; a(turmeric) extract comprising at least oneactive ingredient, and optionally a(Gotu kola) extract; aextract; anextract; and N-acetyl cysteine. The process for quantifying Nrf2 transcription factor activating potential of the botanical extracts comprising the botanical active ingredients is described.
