Abstract
A print control apparatus connectable to an image forming apparatus includes a printing data generating unit that generates printing data and spools the printing data to the image forming apparatus; a communication unit that receives status information of the image forming apparatus; and a control unit that controls the communication unit to receive status information about a work of the image forming apparatus even after spooling of the printing data generating unit is completed.
