Abstract
An electromagnetic clutch includes an armaturehaving a rotor contact surfacesegmented in the radial direction by an annular grooveto form a plurality of rings, the groove being formed concentrically with the armaturefor obstructing magnetic flux; and a rotorhaving a contact surface, wherein the armatureis attracted toward the contact surface of the rotorby magnetic force caused by an electromagnetic coil to couple the armature with the rotor for transmitting power.
