Abstract
In a rotary damperincluding a cam surfaceformed in a lower end surface of a large-diameter portionof a rotorand including a cam surfaceformed in an upper end surface of a piston, the cam surfacebeing capable of contacting the cam surface, the cam surfacespressed to contact each other by a coil springbiasing the piston, the pistonis prohibited from being moved toward the large-diameter portionbeyond a predetermined second position. Coil springdoes not rotationally bias the piston. The coil springbiases the pistononly such that the pistonapproaches the large-diameter portion
