Abstract

An hydraulic shovel according to the present invention includes a lower running body, an upper turning bodyturnably mounted on the lower running body, a boompivotably attached to the upper turning body, an armpivotably attached to the boom, a bucketattached to the arm, an boom angle sensor Swhich detects a condition of the boom, an attachment condition determining partwhich determines whether the boomis within a predetermined upper working range based on a detection value of the boom angle sensor S, and an operating condition switching partwhich switches an operating condition of the hydraulic shovel. The operating condition switching partslows down a movement of the bucketif the attachment condition determining partdetermines that an attachment is within the predetermined upper working range UWR.
