Abstract

A microscope device () includes a surgical microscope (), a camera (), connected to the surgical microscope (), for sensing an object () imaged by the surgical microscope, a stand () carrying the surgical microscope () as well as the camera (), an operating unit (), spatially separated from the camera (), for controlling device functions of the camera (). The operating unit () includes a screen () for displaying activatable device functions () and a selection and activation means, embodied as an actuatable rotary/push operating means (), for selecting and activating one of the device functions displayed. The operating unit () is set up such that by rotating the rotary/push operating means (), one () of the displayed device functions is selected, and by pushing the rotary/push operating means (), the selected device function () is activated.
