Abstract

A chisel according to the present technology has a reduced tendency to jam in a substrate. The chisel is on an axis in the striking direction with successively a striking surface, a shank, a spreading element and a tip. The spreading element has multiple ribs around the axis extending along the axis. The ribs each have a wave shape formed through a tangential deflection with respect to the axis.
