Abstract
An actuator (') is provided for actuating a valve () on a container () for dispensing a fluent product. The actuator (′) includes an exterior housing (′) and a rotatable member (′). The rotatable member (′) is located in an interior chamber () of the housing (′) and includes an engageable surface () located in a circumferentially extending window () of the housing (′) to be engaged by a user for movement of the engageable surface () within the window () between a locked position wherein movement of an actuator button () from an un-actuated position to an actuated position is prevented and an unlocked position wherein movement of the actuator button () from the un-actuated position to the actuated position is allowed to actuate the valve ().
