Abstract

A method, apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are provided in order to manage transmission of data. In this regard, the method comprises populating a first portion of a transmission data allocation with data of a first data type associated with a first one of a plurality of transmission grants, the plurality of transmission grants defining an allowed amount of transmission data for a plurality of data types, each transmission grant associated with one or more of the data types, populating a second portion of the transmission data allocation with data of a second data type associated with a second one of the plurality of transmission grants, determining, using a processor, that additional space remains in the first portion of the transmission data allocation, and populating the transmission data allocation with data of the second data type equal to a size of the additional space.
