Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide an adaptor device for a source device that can reduce a connection time to a switching destination in the case where a connection destination is switched. For this, an adaptor device for a source device () includes a storage unit () that stores format information that is information indicating the format of the video signal; a dummy signal generating unit () that generates a dummy signal that is a dummy video signal having the same format as that specified by the format information obtained from the storage unit (); a control unit () that causes the dummy signal generating unit () to generate the dummy signal when the video signal is not obtained from the source device; and a wireless transmitting and receiving unit () that selectively wirelessly transmits the video signal and the generated dummy signal.
