Abstract
This invention prevents repetitive storage of identical character string data, and efficiently uses a storage area. To accomplish this, a facsimile apparatushas an NICas a network interface, and also has a display unitas a display means for displaying an image as a user interface, a main body controllerincluding a memory as a storage means for storing character string data, a display controlleras an image generating means for generating an image to be displayed on the display means, by using the character string data stored in the memory, and an HTTP server as a display data generating means for generating an HTML file as display data described in a markup language by using the character string data stored in the memory, in accordance with a browsing request input via the network interface.
