Abstract
An electric motor, a hoisting machine and also an elevator system are disclosed. The electric motor includes a stator, which stator includes slots, into which slots a concentrated winding is fitted. The electric motor also includes a rotating rotor, which rotor includes permanent magnets placed consecutively in a ring in the direction of the rotational movement. The ratio (L/L) of the width of a permanent Lp magnet at the point (L) of the center line of the magnet and the width (L)' of a magnetic pole of the rotor is at least ⅔ and at most ⅘.
