Abstract
The present invention is to provide a method of producing a carbonyl compound at a higher yield. The method of producing a carbonyl compound according to the present invention produces a carbonyl compound represented by general formula (I) by subjecting a compound represented by general formula (II) to dealkoxycarbonylation in the presence of a hydrogen halide salt of tertiary amine. In the formula, R represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbons.
