Abstract
In a lens edging system using a lens edgerand an edging control terminal, the lens edgerincludes a calculation switching sectionconfigured to switch a setting of a calculating section so as to select either one of a first calculating sectionand a second calculating sectionfor calculating edging shape data, and a data acquisition sectionconfigured to acquire the edging shape data calculated by the second calculating sectionfrom the edging control terminal, wherein when the calculation switching sectionswitches the setting of a calculating section so as to select the second calculating sectionfor calculating the edging shape data, the edging shape data calculated by the second calculating sectionis acquired by a data acquisition section, and a lens edging sectionperforms edging using the acquired edging shape data.
