Abstract
A filter (), particularly a spin-on filter, in particular for motor vehicles, industrial engines, notably an oil filter, fuel filter or coolant filter, comprising a filter housing (), in which a filter element () is accommodated and which has an end face-side connecting end () comprising a cover (), which connecting end can be sealingly connected to a connecting body () corresponding to the connecting end () by a plug and/or rotary movement (S, D), wherein the cover () has an opening () for a fluid connection between the connecting body () and the filter housing (). At the connecting end () of the filter housing (), a sealing region () and a holding region () are disposed, which run concentrically substantially axially to the plug direction (S) and are directed radially inward and which can interact with a radially outwardly directed holding region () of the connecting body () that runs substantially axially.
