Abstract

A method for automatically providing an appreciation object based on a user's interest and a video apparatus using the method are provided. The method includes providing the appreciation object if it is determined that a user is less interested in a viewing object currently being provided. Therefore, it is possible to promote appreciation of the appreciation object created based on currently stored content, and to provide the user with entertainment through appreciation of the appreciation object.
