Abstract
A multistage turbocharging system () in which the thickness of at least either one of a valve body () that opens and closes a bypass flow passage opening and a washer () that fixes the valve body () to a mounting portion () is greater than the minimum width of a flow passage from a valve assembly () to a turbine impeller () of the first turbocharger ().
