Abstract

Phosphazene-formaldehyde polymeric and phosphazene-formaldehyde metal polymeric compounds and methods for their preparation are described. In one aspect, a phosphazene-formaldehyde polymer is formed by reacting hexaminocyclotriphosphazene hexammoniumchloride, [{NP(NH)}.6NHCl], and formaldehyde, HCHO, in an aqueous environment to form a reaction product.
